Expert: Israel looks like the winner in Lebanon right now. But the civilians are still the losers

Israel has received fierce criticism for its military actions in Gaza and for its treatment of the civilian population, but within the past two weeks Israel has achieved several of its military goals in Lebanon, most recently targeting Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, who on Friday was killed in an airstrike in a suburb of Beirut.

But the attack also affected civilians living in the area, and it worries Lars Erslev Andersen, senior researcher from DIIS, Danish Institute for International Studies, that in the news flow about precision bombings and exploding pagers, those who are always the losers are forgotten.
