Experts satisfied with the inclusion of Roma in Bijelo Polje

Council of Europe expert for the evaluation of the ROMACTED program, Lusia Ulbrikova, visited the Municipality of Bijelo Polje.

In question, as the facilitator of the program, Rafet Mulić, explained to Vijestima, is the regional program implemented by the Council of Europe, which is implemented in six countries of the Western Balkans in Turkey.

“In Montenegro, it is implemented in eight municipalities where the Roma and Egyptian population lives, and those municipalities are partners in the program. Through that program, the Council of Europe provided support to municipalities, institutions and organizations working on the integration of Roma, as well as local Roma communities, on connecting with the aim of better integration, improving the life and work of the RE population,” said Mulić, emphasizing that the Municipality of Bijelo Polje achieved excellent results through this program in the process of integration of the Roma community, which was confirmed by Bishop Ulbrikova.

The meeting with representatives of the Municipality was attended by the Vice President of the Municipality Tufik Bojadžić, Head of the Department Miloš Kljajević, employees of the Office for Roma Vladimir Luković and Dženad Rizvanović, as well as facilitator of the ROMACTED program for Bijelo Polje Rafet Mulić.

Ulbrikova expressed satisfaction with the process of inclusion of the Roma population in Bijelo Polje through two cycles of the ROMACTED program.

We remind you that the Municipality of Bijelo Polje is a signatory to the Memorandum on Cooperation within the mentioned program, which is implemented in the countries of the Western Balkans and Turkey.
