The men of the Anti-Terrorism have made a “leaf and feather” of the apartment-yafka of Arkadias street, in Ampelokipis, where the terrible explosion took place yesterday that caused the death of a man and the injury of a 33-year-old woman.
From Thursday at noon when the incident happened, the Anti-Terrorist men took statements from the tenants of the apartment building and at the same time showed them photos of suspects. According to secure information of enikos.gr, the tenants recognized another woman – apart from the 33-year-old – who had access to the apartment and visited it often.
Information from EL.AS. they report that this woman has a criminal past as she has been brought in by the Security in the past and moves in an anti-authoritarian area.
But the 33-year-old injured woman was also identified and is known to the authorities, as she is also connected to the anti-authoritarian scene. However, the 33-year-old had dozens of referrals to the Security in the past.
Information states that in the Ampelokipi apartment, where a large crater was found in the living room, remains of the dead man’s hand were also found, which was dismembered, although it does not appear from the prints that he was marked. The next step involves taking DNA but there is not much hope for further evidence on him.
At the house on Arkadias street, as it appears from witnesses and from the cameras in the neighborhood, many people were coming and going, while the degree of involvement of the owner’s son, who is expected to be summoned again for a deposition, is also being examined.
It is noted that two weapons, mobile phones and many electronic files were found inside the apartment.

The explosion caused extensive damage to the apartment, as well as to adjacent apartments in the apartment building.
From the investigation of the area so far, it is estimated that the explosion was caused by the detonation of an improvised explosive device (AEM).
So far, two pistols, magazine with cartridges, mobile phones and digital persuasions have been found and seized.
A preliminary investigation is being carried out by the Directorate for Dealing with Special Violent Crimes, while the investigation continues.
