Foreign. Two explosions occurred near the Israeli embassy in Copenhagen during the night of Wednesday.
The incidents took place at the intersection of Strandagervej and Lundevangsvej in Hellerup, an area where several embassies and consulates are located. No one has been reported injured.
Police confirm the explosions occurred in the “immediate vicinity” of the Israeli embassy, but Deputy Police Chief Jakob Hansen says it is still too early to determine whether there is a link to the embassy.
No arrests have been made, and a large area around the scene has been cordoned off for further investigation.
Israel’s embassy in Denmark expresses its shock at the incident.
“We are shocked by the explosions near the embassy earlier today. We have full confidence in the Danish police in their handling of the case and the further investigation,” writes the embassy on X.
