Extinction Rebellion protesters were dispersed with tear gas in The Hague, 700 of them were detained

The Dutch police detained around 700 climate protestors in The Hague on Saturday, and the crowd of demonstrators who caused serious traffic jams for several hours were dispersed with water cannons.

The movement was organized at the request of the climate protection group Extinction Rebellion (XR).
