Exynos 1580 Introduced, Here Are Its Features

Today, Samsung introduced the Exynos 1580 chip, the successor to the Exynos 1480. The new chip will most likely be used in the Galaxy A56 model. The chip comes with an octa-core setup consisting of 1x Cortex-A720 main, 3x A720 and 4x A520 cores.

On the GPU side, there is a unit based on AMD’s RDNA 3 architecture. Samsung says GPU performance is up 37%, and at the same power level as the 1480, performance is up 20%.

Exynos 1580 FeaturesThe new chip supports LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage technology. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6E (ax) and Bluetooth 5.4. As we mentioned in the introduction, the Exynos 1580 chip is likely to be used in the Samsung Galaxy A56 and tablets, which are expected to be introduced in early 2025.
