The second phase of the renovation of the Hungaroring is in full swing, as part of which the main building, the grandstand, the paddock and the race control center will also be renovated by next summer, in time for the Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix. This is now the priority on the track, and the asphalt strip is unusable because of this, because the work machines drive there – so that their wheels and metal soles do not damage the asphalt, a thick layer of sand has been spread, and the construction vehicles drive on them.

All this can be seen from the video shared by the Hungaroring from the track. From a bird’s-eye view of the footage taken in the past few days, you can see that virtually nothing remains of the previous buildings, instead the workers are adding to the walls and rooms erected in the first phase.

As it is written, ten tower cranes are currently working at the Hungaroring, and in the last two months 12,578 cubic meters of concrete and 3,467 tons of rebar were installed in the future paddock building and main stand.

In parallel with the construction, the tickets for the Hungarian Grand Prix are selling well, so new stands will also be built.
