Just one year ago, during last year’s Belgian Grand Prix, it was announced that Otmar Szafnauer, the leader of Alpine, had to leave. His place was taken by Bruno Famin, who is already being sidelined after another year.

The reorganization is already managed by Flavio Briatore, who was appointed Alpine’s senior consultant at the Spanish Grand Prix. Briatore considers Famin’s expertise important, so he gets a different position within the organization, but he envisions a different person leading the team.

With whom, it is a mystery for the time being, no information was disclosed in this regard. According to the news, the former team boss of Ferrari, Mattia Binotto, was also among the candidates, but he eventually accepted the leadership of Audi.

Alpine wants to start the first race after the summer break with the new team boss, which means that the team will make announcements in the coming weeks. In addition to the name of the new boss, it will also soon be announced that the team will switch to Mercedes engines from 2026.
