Fallout: London Mod Reached 1 Million Downloads on GOG

Released in July of this year, the community-created game takes players to an entirely new setting set in the Fallout universe. Fallout: London The mode is free and only requires the Fallout 4: Game of the Year edition to play. Now, just 3 months after its release, Fallout: London has surpassed 1 million downloads on the GOG platform, the primary distribution site of the mod.

“Supporting such a creative and ambitious fan project was an adventure that GOG decided to undertake not only in the spirit of gaming, but also to ensure that the rich and immersive worlds of games like Fallout continue to thrive,” the GOG store said in a statement. “Making Fallout: London easily accessible and providing a seamless installation process and compatibility across different platforms was our way of preserving history.” he said.

The five-year development of Fallout: London was led by Team FOLON, a fan group made up of hobbyists, industry professionals, and modders. The expansion-sized experience offers fans nearly 90 hours of content, an entirely new map to explore, multiple questlines to pursue, fully voiced characters, new factions, and plenty of goodies to loot.

Team FOLON’s work on the mode continues and important updates are being worked on. The latest version, patch 1.02, was released earlier this week with over a thousand changes to stabilize the mode and fixes for community-reported issues.

Celebrating Fallout Day, the GOG store is currently holding discounted sales for every game in the Bethesda series. With the 75% discount promotion for Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition, the price of the game, which was $ 39.99, has been reduced to $ 9.99.
