Celebration of the centenary of the foundation
of the Czechoslovak Republic she did not miss a variety of domestic brands and was reflected in a number of their collections. The brand thought the same Batawhich represents limited women’s shoe lineof which only one hundred pieces were produced. In addition to the founding of the republic, the collection also pays tribute to the craft of Czech shoemakers and more than a hundred years of the Baťa brand.
A celebration of the art of cobblers
High lace-up boots from the exclusive Baťa collection for the founding of the republic are unique in many ways. The entire model, from its design to complete production, was created in the Czech Republic. If you are going to buy one of the hundred pairs of shoes, notice the leather tag. This is unique for each model and you will find the handwritten model number on it. An interesting element is the label with the date of the company’s foundation, which can be seen both from the outside and, when folded, also on the inside. “We thought for a long time about paying homage to the republic and Czech tradition, and in the end we decided on the most logical path of a limited shoe collection that is made here. We wanted to emphasize that Baťa is still a Czech brand that produces locally and supports the shoemaker’s craft.” explains Ondřej Cedidla, marketing manager of the Baťa brand for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Shoes in the colors of the tricolor
Insoles, laces and the entire print – the Czech tricolor shines from every piece of the shoe. While the color of the red-white-blue model adheres to our tradition, the overall design of the shoes is rather unconventional. The attention-grabbing robust sole, high lacing and the repeating number one hundred in the upper part make the shoes a real collector’s item. Together with this limited model, a special lookbook was created in which the brand Bata teamed up with the Czech designer Natália Dufková, whose clothes can be seen in the photos with the model Linda Exnar. Special shoes for the anniversary of the Republic are available at the Baťa store on Wenceslas Square and online at www.bata.cz.
