Faster than iPhone 16 Pro Max in Geekbench tests

About three months before the official announcement, rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S25 series are already circulating online.

In the spotlight is the company’s flagship model: the S25 Ultra.

The processor under the hood

According to the latest leaks, the variant destined for the US market would be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.

This state-of-the-art chip looks capable of beating even Apple’s latest creations, including the A18 Pro used in the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

A version of the new model, locked to US carrier networks, was recently spotted on the Geekbench database.

Preliminary data shows impressive results in performance tests: 3,069 points in the single-core test and 9,080 points in the multi-core test.

These numbers suggest an increase over the previous generation, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which scored around 2,300 points in the single-core test and around 7,000 points in the multi-core test.

Comparison with A18 Pro

Although the single-core performance appears to be similar to that of Apple’s A18 Pro processor, the phone excels in the multi-core department: it is about 18% faster than the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Moreover, the S25 Ultra already outperformed it in the 3DMark Wildlife Extreme GPU tests.

The difference could increase even more with final optimizations.

Anticipated specifications and features

The battery will be 5000 mAh with support for fast charging at 45W and 12 GB of RAM.

The new design with rounded corners, Android 15 and the main camera of 200 megapixels should also be mentioned.

There will also be a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and two telephoto cameras (one 10-megapixel and the other 50-megapixel super-telephoto). The front camera will be 12 megapixels.

Final performance may vary

Although the device is still in the development and optimization phase, early indications suggest that it could become the new benchmark in terms of performance.

However, it should be noted that the final performance may vary depending on the manufacturer’s optimizations.
