‘Fate’ and ‘The Trees I Remember’ met with the audience at the Golden Orange Film Festival – Last Minute Culture and Arts News

The movie “Mukadderat”, directed by Nadim Güç, had its world premiere the day before at the 61st International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. The story, which begins with the sudden desire to marry of the Sultan, who is afraid of being alone after losing his wife, evolves into the stubbornness and struggle of women who make their own decisions, chart their own path and build their lives, and reveals the impact of social pressures on women. After the screening at the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) Aspendos Hall, director Nadim Güç, who received a standing ovation for several minutes, screenwriter Erdi Işık, Nur Sürer, Osman Sonant, who gave life to the character of Sultan, and other actors answered the questions of the audience.

‘UTOPIA’

Expressing their happiness with the reaction they received from the audience, Nadim Güç touched upon the difficulty of telling a woman’s story and said, “I was very excited while making the film. With the excitement of the movie, we sometimes get lost in it. You made us think we found our way today. It is very difficult to tell a woman’s story, because every story you tell becomes a utopia and we are trying to reach there. “I hope we can see this in real life one day,” he said.

QUOTE FROM YAŞAR KEMAL

Stating that the shooting in Kastamonu went very well, Nur Sürer said, “We have an acting that started with Erdi’s pen. The director is very important to me, I say that all the time. A good director runs behind a good story. We worked in a wonderful place, the people of Cide treated us very well. Actually, there is a sentence by Yaşar Kemal, I have been saying it so much lately: ‘You will not have four things in this country; women, children, trees and animals.’ I really liked how, in the movie, the woman finds herself after her husband’s death and immediately overcomes her sadness with something else. “We are very happy if it went well for you too,” he said.

The film “The Trees I Remember”, which is about Bahar, who had an unwanted pregnancy, and Mahir, whom she has not seen for a long time, the distorted relationships in their families, especially their fathers, and the negative conditions in which their lives are dragged, was also screened. Names such as Hande Doğandemir, Erdem Kaynarca and İştar Gökseven star in the movie directed by Erhan Tuncer.
