Today, Apple Music premieres a new song by Faustyna Maciejczuk – a representative of the young generation on the Polish alternative scene and the owner of one of the most interesting voices. “I Want You More” is a melodic, summer single, illustrated with an ephemeral music video directed by the creator of visual arts — nghtlou. The video clip was filmed entirely on iPhone 15 Pro Max and edited on MacBook.
Faustyna Maciejczuk has started working on a new album. The first announcement of the artist’s new work is today’s premiere – a summer, melodic single “I want you more”. The song tells about how much we want to hold on to special moments for longer, about the need to break away from everyday life and leave the daily rush behind us. This thought became the inspiration for the creation of a unique video directed by nghtlou (Konrad Tułak). The picture was created during a music festival, the creator immortalized fleeting moments of summer ecstasy, seaside sunrises. The video was recorded with an iPhone 15 Pro Max smartphone and edited on a MacBook Pro as part of cooperation with Apple.
Faustina Maciejczuk:
Every day I have many dilemmas in my head, professional, life, they seem to multiply and build up. I wanted to see something that helps me break away from them… beautiful moments that I love to create. They allow me to slow down and enjoy being here and now. I want more of these moments, more summer, more of you and more of me.
Konrad Tułak (nghtlou):
I once came up with the phrase that I create and save memories professionally. This music video is one of those projects – a trip to the seaside, exploring the world without a script, running at sunset. In such situations, intuitiveness and comfort when recording are key – the iPhone provided us with that. This is my first music video made with a smartphone and probably not the last. When you record something with such a small device, you feel like you can take a shot whenever you need it. You don’t have to arm yourself with a backpack full of equipment, additional lenses, and weights. I’ve learned that the iPhone can be the first choice for a cameraman in certain situations. The future is now.
Faustyna Maciejczuk is one of the most interesting, most intriguing artists of the young generation. Her characteristic, delicate voice tone can transport the listener to a completely new, enchanted world. Singer, songwriter, producer and violinist. In 2021, she debuted with the mini-album “Przebudzenie” (published by FONOBO Label), and a year later – in the fall of 2022, she released “baby blue” (published by FONOBO Label). The latter is a so-called “non-conceptual” album – about learning to express and accept yourself. Faustyna writes with ease about being here and now and searching for answers to questions – what is the comfort zone and how to get out of it, overcoming your fears or cultivating a sense of self-love. Eclectic in nature, the songs are united by Faustyna’s extraordinary sensitivity, maturity, and ambition, which she also presents in the role of a producer.
Self-confident and determined – her personality has attracted over 200 thousand recipients from all over the world on social media – who appreciate the artist’s originality, sensitivity and humor. Now Faustyna is working on another musical project, in which the image and performance will be as important as sound and words.
The song “I Want You More” is also available to listen to on Apple Music.
