“FC Porto is a top-level team, in the Champions League”, says Bodo/Glimt coach

Bodo/Glimt coach Kjetil Knutsen considered this Tuesday that FC Porto is a Champions League team, on the eve of facing the ‘dragons’ in the first round of the Europa League.

In a press conference, Knutsen recalled FC Porto’s elimination in the last edition of the ‘Champions’, in the round of 16, against Arsenal, in which the ‘blue and whites’ were “narrowly eliminated”, in the penalty shootout.

“FC Porto is a top-level team, a Champions League team. Their style, their identity. They are very direct. They have a lot of power in attack, but also in defense,” he said.

The Norwegian team’s coach considered that FC Porto “is a very intense team” and “perhaps the strongest team” he has faced in his career.

“It’s a big challenge for us, but we’re looking forward to it. We’re a team from a small town in the north of Norway and playing against top teams like FC Porto is spectacular for us. We’ll be ready for tomorrow’s game (Wednesday),” he said.

FC Porto will visit Bodo/Glimt on Wednesday, in a match scheduled for 17:45 and which will be refereed by Israeli Orel Grinfeeld.
