DAPURPACUID – Federal Oil, a brand line of PT ExxonMobil Lubricants Indonesia (EMLI) is committed to eradicating lubricants that do not meet specifications in the country.
Throughout its efforts, this lubricant, which is famous for its tagline ‘Definitely More Comfortable’, has collaborated with the Indonesian Lubricant Association (ASPELINDO) and related staff.
As a result, both parties have succeeded in revealing the circulation of lubricants that do not meet specifications in several regions in Indonesia, including in the Jakarta and Banten areas.
This incident occurred in the first and second quarters of 2024, where in May 35 cartons of Federal Oil Ultratec products were found at the Sentosa Motor Workshop, Cengkareng, West Jakarta.
A major disclosure of the same type of fake Federal Oil was also made at the Panongan Biztrip Complex, Banten, in June 2024, which found as many as 60 cartons that did not meet specifications along with dozens of cartons of other brands of lubricants.
Furthermore, both cases have been followed up by the authorities, and will continue to be a concern for Federal Oil in its efforts to uncover the circulation of lubricant products that do not meet specifications by irresponsible individuals.
With the above incidents, the biggest impact is certainly on the lubricant manufacturer and the motorcycle owner customer. The use of fake oil can have a bad effect on the engine and other components.
B2C Sales Director of PT EMLI, Herry Hambali said that the circulation of fake lubricants is clearly detrimental to his party as the producer and holder of the Federal Oil brand.
Including consumers, Herry explained, who have trusted and felt the quality of Federal Oil product technology used for their daily motorcycle needs.
“We continue to be committed together with ASPELINDO and various related parties to support the eradication of counterfeit lubricants, in order to provide comfort to customers,” said Herry.
On the other hand, ASPELINDO General Chairman, Sigit Pranowo said, the use of original lubricants has an important role in maintaining the condition of vehicle engines so that they are optimally maintained.
Meanwhile, fake oil with quality that is clearly far below the manufacturer’s specifications can gradually cause damage to motor vehicle engines.
At the same time, the lubricant manufacturer itself can damage the reputation of the brand, which causes a loss of trust from customers.
“Of course, the active role of Federal Oil and other lubricant manufacturers greatly assists us in supporting the government’s efforts to eradicate irresponsible producers and distributors,” he concluded.
To avoid the circulation of fake oil, motorbike owners are advised to purchase Federal Oil lubricant products at official stores or through official distributors.
