It is difficult for the 22-time Grand Slam winner to return to the required level after having long-term knee problems.

They significantly influenced his career, which made him one of the greatest legends of sports.

At Roland Garros, he was recently knocked out by Alexander Zverev, and at the Olympics he lost in the second round to Novak Djokovic, who won the gold medal at the tournament.

In singles alongside Carlos Alcaraz, he reached the quarterfinals, where he was not enough for the American pair of Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram.

Nadal played many memorable matches against Federer in his career. Both have mutual respect for each other.

A few days ago, they had a long debate over the phone.

“He wanted to ask me something, so we both talked. Subsequently, I felt sorry for him because the matches at the French Open and under five rings did not go as expected. But he had a difficult draw,” says Federer.

He then paid a big bow to Nadal.

“He is one of the most iconic tennis players in history, which is what I told him. I firmly believe that he will make the right decision about his future. I am sure that he wants to move forward in the right direction,” states the Swiss.
