Due to the need for special design services, the City of Zaječar has announced a tender for the development of the implementation project of the Felix Romulijana Interpretation Center, the focus of which will be the presentation of the historical significance of this ancient site in a modern and interactive way.

The project includes the creation of texts in Serbian and English, a script for multimedia points, as well as an executive project of graphic and product design.
According to the portal eKapija, the deadline for applying for the tender is December 2.

O Palate Felix Romulijana
Felix Romuliana, Imperial Palace of the Roman Emperor Gallery, is one of the best preserved Roman monuments in Serbia. It was built in Galerius’ birthplace in honor of his mother Romula, and the emperor intended to retire here after the end of his reign.
It is Gamzigrad, an archaeological site near Zaječar.

Main settings of the Interpretation Center
The newly built Interpretation Center aims to show the cultural and historical importance of Felix Romuliana through five thematic units.

Thematic continents are:
- COUNTRY: Presentation of the Roman Empire with a special focus on the area of the Black River and tetrarchy arrangement, illustrated with animation.
- PEOPLE: Sculptures of key figures, such as the rulers Diocletian, Galerius and Constantine, as well as Romula who was probably a priestess.
- THE PALACE: The model of the complex and mausoleum on Magura allows visitors to explore the rooms and architectural details of the palace through 3D animations.
- GODS: Multimedia displays dedicated to gods like Jupiter and Dionysus. A mosaic inspired by Dionysius touch activates an animation that tells the story of the Roman gods.
- APOTHEOSIS: A central installation in the form of an artistic multimedia intervention with a focus on the melting of the wax figure and the rising of the bird to the sky.

Additional features and an ancient style labyrinth
The visit begins with a labyrinth designed according to a famous mosaic from the localitywhich symbolically introduces visitors to the ancient world. The center itself includes a multimedia hall for education and films, a canteen for rest, as well as an interpretation area with replicas of the most important archaeological finds, writes eKapija.
The theme ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH is covered on the walls with photos and audio-narration, while the theme LAYERS OF SITES is illustrated by a drawing by Felix Kanitz.

The Felix Romuliana Visitor Center, including the Interpretation Center, will be opened in December. Currently, public procurement is being carried out for the procurement of multimedia equipment, which will complete this significant project.
