From the beginning of the 2021 season, Ferrari Trento provided the champagnes for the Formula 1 award ceremonies, which were called sparkling wines due to the official wording due to trademark protection.
Thanks to the collaboration, the Italian brand founded in 1902 guaranteed the presence of the Ferrari name on the podiums, even if it was displayed on a champagne bottle, for the last four years.
However, it is important to point out that the coincidence of the name with the Maranello squad is a coincidence, since Enzo Ferrari founded the racing team named after himself decades later, which also started producing road sports cars from 1947.
From 2025, however, the resulting misunderstandings will disappear, as Formula 1 will return to its former champagne supplier partner, writes the Motorsport.com. Pursuant to the contract signed with LVMH, worth one billion dollars – converted to almost HUF 400 million -, the podium finishers can once again drink Moët et Chandon products.
The French brand previously held this role from 1966 to 1999 and again in 2020.
