Faced with growing consumer demand for products that do not contain any animal products, the Ferrero group has announced the launch of Nutella Plant Based in France, a new 100% plant-based spread recipe.
Freshly sixty years old, Nutella continues to innovate! While a few months ago, the brand set out to conquer the ice cream segment by launching its very first ice cream pot, this time it is investing in the plant-based market by launching Nutella Plant Based in France.
Available in stores from September 4, this new recipe – composed entirely of plant-based ingredients – imitates the brand’s famous spread, thus offering “the same incomparable experience as the original recipe, but removing the milk, replaced by plant-based ingredients such as chickpeas and rice syrup”as the Ferrero group indicated in a press release.
A PMC set at 4.19 euros for a 350 gr pot
With this initiative, Nutella intends to respond to the growing consumer demand for vegan products, “without any compromise on taste”The recommended marketing price (RRP) for a 350 gram jar of Nutella Plant Based has been set at 4.19 euros, slightly more than for the original recipe.
“For 60 years, millions of people around the world have started their day by enjoying a Nutella breakfast. We are delighted to welcome even more people to the brand with Nutella Plant Based. It offers the same unique taste, smooth texture and quality as the dough Nutella spread, known and appreciated by all”assures Thomas Chatenier, global president of Nutella, in the same press release.
