Unless you are passionate, the name Trakka may not mean anything to you. In fact, it is difficult to associate it with the world of so-called recreational vehicles. But you should know that this is a very well-known manufacturer of camper vans and 4×4 conversions in its home country of Australia.
In this case, the company has decided to take a further step forward and explore the Van segment with a model based on the Fiat Ducato (with right-hand drive, obviously) which it calls Torino and which focuses on an ingenious distribution of internal space and a self-sufficiency system based on collaboration with the specialist EcoFlow
Everything fits within six metres
We are talking about a 5.99 meter long model, with everything you need on board to enjoy pleasant journeys and no less pleasant stays once camped. Inside we find a full bathrooma large Smart TV, a double bed and a kitchen with hob, sink and oven, all integrated into an island module next to the large sliding side door.

But as we said at the beginning, the fundamental point on which the Trakka Torino “pivots” is its own 48V electrical system developed in collaboration with EcoFlow. Integrated as standard in the range, it offers enhanced electrical capabilities: based on the Supplier’s modular electrical architecture, it offers a single 106 Ah and 5,120 Wh lithium battery. Do you need greater electric range? Don’t worry, you can add a second and third stackable battery up to 300 Ah and 15 kWh. The system also comes standard with a 3,600W inverter and a 460W solar charging system.

Induction cooker
The advantages of this system are the presence of a standard induction hob and an electric water heater which reduces diesel consumption. Furthermore, it limits the hardware needed to fully equip the camper, centralizing the power supply through a hub with 240V connections, solar system, inverter and battery charger. The electrical system also powers a microwave oven, a 150 l fridge/freezer and a heating system lighting with LED panels: maximum efficiency, fewer elements and more internal space available.
With this system you can “attack” everything
Not to mention the options available which, frankly, are pretty impressive for a camper of this size. To name just a few, customers can add a Ninja Woodfire outdoor electric grill (with sliding table), a dishwasher, a washing machine and an espresso machine, plus 32- and 43-inch Smart TVs, a portable 4K laser projector with a 58-inch internal screen, and connectivity Starlink satellite internet.

From a mechanical point of view, the entry-level Fiat Ducato Torino is not the most complete option, due of the absence of all-wheel drive and other off-road-oriented features. The Fiat Ducato is powered by a 140 HP 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine and a automatic transmission nine gears.

Last, but not least, the prezzo of the entry-level Trakka Torino. In his country of origin he starts from 170,000 Australian dollars which, at the current exchange rate, corresponds to approximately 104,000 euros. It is true that this is a very respectable figure, but given its ability to be self-sufficient, it is an option to take into consideration… in case it also comes to us
