The Italian media are also dealing with unofficial information about the postponement of serial production of Fiat’s Grande Panda in Kragujevac. But what is the truth?
Quattroruote also wrote about the slight delay in the production of the new model compared to what was announced by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić. Koji originally announced the start of production in the fourth quarter of this year, and October was seen as the “first day”. In reality, the Stellantis group never indicated a precise date.
As Quattroruote writes now, it is expected that the first serial copies of the Grande Panda (so not a pilot series, nor pre-production) will leave the Kragujevac factory in November. This is certainly a delay compared to the date announced by Vučić (which Stellantis never confirmed), but minimal compared to what the local press is afraid of.
The manufacturer confirmed to Quattroruote that the production is in accordance with the deadlines set by the project: “The procedures for starting the production of the Fiat Grande Panda are taking place according to the programs shown in recent months.” We never talked about starting production at the beginning of October, but in 2024. Rumors published by certain media are speculations that have no basis”.
On the other hand, the group has not yet formalized the exact time of the market launch of the Grande Panda, nor has it given precise information about its price (the announcement says that the electric version will cost “less than 25,000 euros” and the hybrid variant “less than 19,000 euros”).
