Good news if you want to purchase a Fiat Topolino, because the electric city car is on sale at the moment!
Electric cars are still very expensive, sometimes too much for motorists. And this while the purchasing power of the French continues to fall. Fortunately, manufacturers are working to offer more affordable models, including Fiat, among others. Indeed, the Italian firm struck very hard by revisiting the Citroën Ami to create a small electric car as cute as it is iconic: the Topolino. By borrowing from the Citroën Ami its electric micro-car fundamentals, the transalpine manufacturer was able to reinvent this silhouette by giving it a retro touch inspired by the 1957 500.
A price drop for the Fiat Topolino
However, this little Italian urban “chip”, although attractive, must compete with its French cousin, which nevertheless retains an undeniable price advantage. And for good reason, the Fiat Topolino is available in two versions. The first, classic, is distinguished by a compact and functional design, while the Dolcevita version is more daring, with the option of removable doors and a canvas sunroof for driving in convertible mode. The latter, a real nod to the Italian dolce vita, invites you to a more “sunny” and relaxed driving experience. However, this refinement comes at a cost. Both models are offered at 9 890 eurosa price higher than that of the more accessible Citroën Ami. This price, however, includes the style and the Italian touch, two selling points that target an urban clientele concerned about aesthetics and originality. As a light electric quadricycle, the small Italian car also benefits from an ecological bonus, which can reach 900 euros in France, reducing the base price to 8,990 euros.
A great promotion
But the real surprise comes from Fiat’s announcement of a promotional offer for the month of November: a discount of 1,000 euros for any purchase paid in cash. This represents a reduction of 10%, a significant boost for those interested, bringing the final price of the Topolino to 7,990 euros after application of the ecological bonus and the discount. This more competitive price then places the little Italian in a more affordable price range, facing growing competition in the micro-electric vehicle market. For the record, the electric city car is primarily intended for urban use. Like the Citroën Ami, it is limited to 45 km/h, a speed which meets the needs of city center traffic while respecting the regulations for light quadricycles. It is accessible from 14 years old with the BSR (Road Safety Certificate), which makes it an interesting option for young drivers or city dwellers looking for an ecological mobility solution.
Finally, the range reaching 75 kilometers in a single charge makes it possible to cover daily journeys, with simplified charging from a standard socket. There is no doubt that this discount should help many customers take the plunge quickly!
