According to his words, at the end of his stay in Vietnam, the Prime Minister was invited to Hanoi by foreign partners for an informal meeting. “The Vietnamese side provided transport logistics, security and the meeting place. The meeting place, which was also connected with food, was the hotel, which is the subject of so much interest today,” explained Fico.

In the video, the prime minister also published a screenshot of the Hanoi hotel document. On it, in English, the hotel itself confirms Fico’s visit. It is said to have taken place on January 2 in the late afternoon at the request of the Vietnamese side. The prime minister demands an apology from the media. “Otherwise, we will meet in court,” he said.

The information that Fico is in Vietnam was first brought by Denník N at the beginning of January. Its reader identified the gold curtains, the antique telephone on the coffee table and the green antique-looking frame of the large screen from Fico’s last Facebook video with the furnishings of Madame Butterfly’s luxury apartment at the Capella Hanoi hotel in the Vietnamese capital. A night in this apartment in a five-star hotel with a Michelin restaurant in the center of Hanoi costs 6,203 euros. There was speculation about the Prime Minister’s whereabouts throughout the holidays.
