Fight in Zurich. And that is possible – after the match between Switzerland and Serbia (1:1), a conflict erupted between several fans in the stands..
A physical conflict broke out between Serbian fans and most likely Albanians present in the stands. One of them mentioned Kosovo and the verbal conflict quickly turned into a physical one.
Fists were “thrown”, screams were heard, with the commotion of a group of about twenty people, located closer to the exit.

The fight continued in front of the stadium, however, only for a short time. The conflict died down, a few minutes later law enforcement officers appeared not far from the scene of the incident. Fortunately, there were no injuries, thanks to the composure of the witnesses and those present, a major incident was prevented.
The match itself in Zurich passed without incident. Several thousand Serbian fans heartily cheered the “eagles”, and their “target” was only the captain of Switzerland – Granit Xhaka, for known reasons.
Serbian fans “greeted” him with whistles during the introduction, but also when he earned a yellow card in the 35th minute.
The local supporters “answered” with a song dedicated to Xhaka, as well as to Đerdan Šaćiri, two Kosovo Albanians in the ranks of Switzerland.
To the tune of the well-known track “Bela čao”, the Swiss greeted their players. That’s how the lyrics – “Oh Granit Xhaka, Đerdan Šaćiri… Serbia bye, Serbia bye!” – heard several times during the first half in Zurich.
In the part of the stands where the Serbian fans were, numerous Serbian tricolors were unfurled.
