Fingerprint instead of code in Mobile Bankid – that’s how you do it

When you have to log in with Mobile Bank ID or sign something, you can do it with your code. Many times, however, if you have Android or an older iPhone without Face ID, it is easier to use the fingerprint reader.

There are a lot of little tricks that make using Bank ID more painless. One such is not having to enter the code. If you have an Android or an older iPhone, the fingerprint is what applies, if you instead have a newer iPhone with facial recognition, Face ID is the easiest to use.

To set the fingerprint to be used instead of the code, go to Settings in your Bank ID app. There is the option for fingerprints at the top. There you can activate partly fingerprints for identification and partly for signature. Once you have confirmed by pressing continue and entering your code, everything is ready.

Please note, however, that it is the service that you log in or sign into and your bank that determines the degree of security required for each area of use. Therefore, you may sometimes be forced to enter your code, so don’t forget it.
