Apple has released a software update for AirPods Pro 2nd generation headphones (both those with a Lightning connector and a USB-C port). It was marked as build 7A305.
This version eliminates minor bugs, improves stability and performance. A hearing aid function is to be added soon, so perhaps this version includes some changes related to these new features.
To check the current software version:
- make sure the headphones are connected to your iOS device
- open the application Settingsenter the tab Generalto choose This devicefind the AirPods and the software number – it will probably be 7A302.
However, the update should take place automatically after placing the headphones in the case, closing it and connecting it to the power supply. After a while, the installation process should start, but it does not always happen.
Please note that there are no official steps you need to take to force installation.
