Five Voted Friday Links

On Sunday, a lot of Danes make a pilgrimage to the polling stations, where crosses must be placed next to politicians or political parties. It is about elections to the EU Parliament, and it is an election that takes place every five years. You can say that the politicians who are elected to parliament have secured a nice salary for the next five years.

The monthly salary is approximately DKK 75,000 and thus amounts to an annual salary of well over DKK 900,000. But there are also some supplements that are worth mentioning in this context. The politicians in the European Parliament get a daily allowance of DKK 2,600 so they don’t have to go to bed hungry.

They are also entitled to a monthly allowance of approximately DKK 36,000. I will not go into detail about how the politicians get their hands on this so-called pencil money. And then of course they get expenses for car, bus, train, plane or jet ski covered. And then there is also a nice pension when former members of parliament turn 63.

At first glance, these politicians have a rather good relationship as a result of sitting in the European Parliament. So if you look at the financial side of the matter. But that also means that they are sitting in another country and voting for this and that. And that applies to the 15 Danish members out of 720 members from the EU countries.

Now it shouldn’t all be about money, but just try to calculate how big the expenses are in connection with the EU Parliament.

Moreover, I think that the sale of puff bars must stop immediately.

It’s Friday and we’re going for a trip on the big internet, which is open 24 hours a day. Today it will be about Northside in Aarhus, Honey Min with Patina, the EU election, the black swan and artificial intelligence.

https://elections.europa.eu/da: Get a lot of useful information about the EU election. You can even ask for a reminder so you don’t forget to vote.

https://northside.dk: It is this weekend that there is a lot of cool music at Northside in Aarhus. If I was there, I would definitely listen to Malk DE Koijn, Vince Staples, Andreas Odbjerg, Veto, Massive Attack, Guldimund, August Høyen and When Saints Go Machine.

https://www.blackswanbar.dk: This is about the black swan. It’s a bar in Copenhagen, so it’s not about fraudsters and people without ethics and morals.

https://aidenmark.dk: Info about artificial intelligence. For small and medium-sized companies.

https://bandetpatina.dk: These 7 lovely guys from the band Patina release a new single today: Honey min. I predict it will be a summer basker!
