Electric motorcycles
Royal Enfield has created a new brand for electric motorcycles and announced its first bikes, the C6 and S6.
Royal Enfield is a well-known brand among motorcycle connoisseurs and, according to its own information, is the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer – at least in the displacement range between 250 and 750 cubic centimeters. The Indian manufacturer has now founded a new brand and wants to use it to sell its first electric motorcycles. They are called Flying Flea C6 and Flying Flea S6 and are scheduled to come onto the market in spring 2026.
In order to develop the two bikes, they have worked intensively on research, development and infrastructure in recent years and have launched their own EV production facility in Chennai, India. “In addition, we have invested in the Barcelona-based company Stark Future, known for its advanced electric off-road motorcycles. All aspects of our connected electric motorcycles, including product strategy and development, technical components such as motor, battery, BMS, custom software and our retail and market strategy, have been developed in-house by our technical and commercial teams,” said CEO B. Govindarajan.
The name Flying Flea is based on a Royal Enfield model from World War II that was so light that it could be dropped with a parachute. The Flying Flea C6 is based on this model and is primarily suitable for inner-city use. The bike is equipped, among other things, with cornering ABS and a touchscreen. The Flying Flea C6, on the other hand, is visually reminiscent of a scrambler and is probably intended for off-road excursions.
Neither Royal Enfield nor Flying Flea have yet released any further details about the bikes. For example, it is unknown how long the battery will last or what power the two motorcycles have. The price is also not yet known.
