Last week, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun promised that the Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip foldable smartphones would be released this month. And today, Xiaomi announced the presentation date of the first of them. The Mix Fold 4 smartphone will be presented on July 19 at an event in China. The presentation of the new product will begin at 19:00 local time (14:00 Moscow time).
Little is known about the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 at the moment. According to the company, the new-generation foldable smartphone weighs 226 g with a folded body thickness of 9.47 mm. It is also reported that the Mix Fold 4 is waterproof according to the IPX8 standard, supports 50 W wireless fast charging, and two-way satellite communications.
The Mix Fold 4 specifications also include four cameras with Leica optics, including two telephoto lenses, one of which is a periscope with 5x zoom.
In addition to the Mix Fold 4, the event will also feature the Smart Band 9 wireless headphones and the Redmi K70 Ultra smartphone, some of whose specifications the company revealed last week.
The Redmi K70 Ultra is powered by a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC clocked at 3.4GHz. The device uses a new cooling technology that reduces the chip temperature by 3°C. It is also reported that the Redmi K70 Ultra is the first smartphone to feature a 1.5K C8+ display jointly developed by Redmi and TCL with a refresh rate of 144Hz and PWM brightness control at 3840Hz. It also features a 50MP camera with a Sony IMX906 sensor with optical stabilization and a 5500mAh battery with fast 120W charging.
