Alimpex Food wholesaler, which also supplies its own brands to the Czech market, such as Dr. Halíř, Krajanka, Eiskaffee, Milkin or Polárka is being bought by Laktos Praha, the sole shareholder of the Laktos dairy. Their connection is being assessed by the Office for the Protection of Economic Competition (ÚOHS), which informed about it on your pages. It assesses the connection in a so-called simplified procedure and issues a decision within 20 days.
“The proposed merger of competitors takes place in the area of food production and sales, especially milk and milk products,” the authority said.
Alimpex Food is engaged in the wholesale sale of fresh and frozen food. It also supplies its own brands to the Czech market, such as Dr. Halíř, Krajanka, Eiskaffee, Milkin or Polárka. The group includes, for example, the Net Plasy Dairy from Bystřice pod Hostýnem and the Jaroměřická dairy. The owner of the company is according to Records of beneficial owners businessman Milan Kincl.
According to the consolidated financial statements for the year 2023, the Alimpex Food Group reported a net turnover of 9.6 billion crowns and ended the year with a profit of 132 million crowns.
The Laktos company has been operating on the Czech market since 1936, producing, for example, brands Cream cakeJovokoktejl, Imperial, Radlík or Laktosan.
Laktos is owned by an entrepreneur Todor Gudev. In 2017, the dairy opened a new production plant in Krásná Hora nad Vltavou in the Příbram region, it supplies dairy products to the Czech and Slovak markets, but also to other countries in Europe, Asia and South America. According to the financial statements for the year 2023 available in Collection of documents the dairy had a net turnover of 1.4 billion crowns, ended the business with a profit of 16.9 million crowns.
