Popularity foldable smartphones is gaining momentum. A long time ago, Samsung came up with the first such models with its Galaxy Flip and Galaxy Fold smartphones. A lot of time has passed since then and a lot has changed. Today, smartphones are already stronger, more usable and, above all, thinner and smaller. Xiaomi is now planning something similar, but not quite, he informs Xiaomiui.
The Chinese company is preparing the arrival of its folding device, which will be folded into three parts. Such devices are marked “triple” which means it will have up to two hinges in which to fold. Something like this was popularized a few days ago by rival Huawei, which brought its device with the name Mate XT.
We don’t know much about Xiaomi’s device yet, but we can see what it might look like. The pictures got into the company’s patent, which the leakers revealed. It should probably be introduced on a special date. Unveiling something like this is always spectacular, so Xiaomi should make the right choice MWC v Barcelona, which takes place every year in February.
The renders are very basic so far and haven’t revealed much. However, they at least show that the layout of the cameras will be horizontal, and not vertically. In addition, we can see that the sides of the smartphone will be straight, and not rounded like some of the company’s older devices.

Only time will tell the popularity of this type of smartphone, because so far only the one from Huawei is on the market.
