Roughly thirty years later, somewhere in a nursing home in Puerto Rico, a social worker found it interesting what an 83-year-old, demented resident of theirs was mumbling under his mustache. He found out that the woman was admitted to the institution under mysterious circumstances in 1999 after she was found on the street. He didn’t want to reveal much about his past, but as dementia got the better of him, he told more and more about himself. In 2023, it was revealed that she was Patricia Kopta after the caregiver contacted the Pittsburgh authorities and a DNA test was performed on her.
Her sister Gloria hopes to reach Patricia, but her ex-husband Bob says he has no plans to visit Patricia, but is glad she was safe all along.
