Recently, OnePlus gave approval to release the public open beta version of OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15 for OnePlus 12 and today it is already releasing the final stable version. This is definitely a quick turnaround.
The update is now rolling out globally, one week earlier than originally planned. More specifically, the new firmware for Indian models is CPH2573_15.0.0.206(EX01), for North American devices it is CPH2583_15.0.0.205(EX01) and for those units sold in Europe and elsewhere, it is CPH2581_15.0.0.204( EX01). As usual with such releases, the update will roll out in batches throughout this week.
The changelog is positively gigantic, but here we’ll list the most basic new changes/improvements, such as:
- A new system graphics engine that provides rendering and animation capability ensuring smooth, uninterrupted rendering even under pressure.
- Redesigned Home screen with new icons, new themes.
- New window animations, resizable Split View windows.
- Separate quick settings and notification drawer.
You might not have noticed the absence of any mention of any AI features, but don’t worry, because such features are coming, but, OnePlus says that “to deliver the signature fast and smooth OnePlus experience, features related to artificial intelligence are still being tested and will be gradually integrated into future releases by the end of this month.”
