For rehabilitation purposes, Porzingis was sent to train at the G League club Maine Celtics

On Friday, it was already reported that Porzingis is gradually joining the Boston “Celtics” training sessions, taking lessons without opponents.

“Porzingis has reached the next stage of his recovery,” the club reported. “During the rehabilitation process, Porzingis and Xaviers Tilmen will be sent to practice with the Maine Celtics.”

“After training with the Maine team, ‘they will be recalled to the Boston club, and Porzingis will increase the workload,'” the club’s report reads.

Porzingis is expected to return to the field in December.

In the past season, Porzingis became the first Latvian basketball player in the history of the Boston “Celtics” to become the NBA champion.
