For the rapporteur for our country, the EP is pushing a proven Serb hater

CROATIAN Euro MP Tonino Picula, known for his strong anti-Serb views, which are particularly advertised in the Montenegrin media under the control of tycoon Dragan Šolak, should become the rapporteur of the European Parliament for our country, “Novosti” unofficially learns.

In the previous mandate, he was in charge of Montenegro on behalf of the EP, and during his mandate he stood out in the campaign against the pro-Serbian parties in that country, and the last move of this kind came less than a month and a half ago, on the eve of the local elections in Podgorica, when publicly warned the administration in Brussels that the agreement between Montenegro and Serbia on dual citizenship would contribute to “electoral engineering”, i.e. that Belgrade could thus directly interfere in the electoral processes of Montenegro.

In doing so, he directly went hand in hand with the Dukla circles embodied in the DPS of Milo Đukanović, and his media clubs, such as the daily newspaper “Vijesti” and the magazine “Monitor”, which for months before the vote in the capital of Montenegro spread falsehoods about the “importation of voters” from Serbia and redistricting. electoral will, and what was the duty narrative of Šolak’s media in our country.

If Brussels really decides to take this step, and appoints a proven Serb hater as the rapporteur for Serbia, it will be a kind of message to our country and leadership. In other words, it will be an act of provocation and hostility that will direct Belgrade even more towards closer cooperation with friendly countries – BRICS members.
