Ford E-Transit Courier

Following the launch of the all-new Transit Courier compact van earlier in 2024, Ford Pro announces that the electric E-Transit Courier is now available to order.

Unlike the European Explorer EV, which borrows its platform and powertrain from Volkswagen’s ID.4, the E-Transit Courier is based on Ford’s own EV architecture, the same architecture Ford will use for the future electric Puma.

Either way, the Ford E-Transit Courier takes a serious stance and represents a significant departure from the brand’s earlier designs. The overall length has increased by 118 mm to 4278 mm and, more importantly, the area of the cargo area has increased. The length at floor level now measures 1803 mm instead of 1621 mm.

The total volume is 2.9 cubic meters, which is an increase of 25 percent compared to the outgoing model, while the maximum load capacity is 700 kilograms.

The E-Transit Courier has a single 100 kW/136 HP electric motor that drives the front wheels, while the top speed is limited to 145 km/h.

The E-Transit’s powertrain can be configured for single-pedal driving, and users can also schedule battery charging via the smart 12.0-inch Sync 4 infotainment touchscreen, which Ford has reserved for electric versions of the new Courier.

With a battery capacity of 43 kWh, the electric van offers up to 300 km of range, and charging from 10-80 percent takes about 23 minutes with a standard 100 kW DC charger.
