Renovated with a recent restylingthe Ford Puma It has changed not only in aesthetics, but also in interiorsThe American crossover (among the best-selling in the B segment) focuses even more strongly on on-board technology and practicality.
Il trunkin fact, remains one of Puma’s strong points. Let’s discover all the news.
Ford Puma, the dashboard
The cockpit has been updated in various elements. Certainly, the most notable innovations are the two instrument screens, with 12.8” frame in front of the driver and the display of theinfotainment da 12” with cloud-connected SYNC4 system, voice control via Alexa Built-In and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
On the passenger side there are new moldings, while the steering wheel has a renewed and more modern shape. In terms of upholstery, we find the synthetic leather Sensico, which can be combined with the microfiber fabric of the seats.
In front of the gear lever there is a plate for inductive charging of the smartphone, while in the central tunnel there are two cup holders. And the door pockets are quite large.
Ford Puma, finishes and materials
As mentioned, among the novelties of Puma there is the lining in SensiCo skin. For the rest, the door panels have soft materials on the upper part and rough in the less visible lower area. The red stitching of the richer Ford trims adds a touch of sportiness and refinement.
The infotainment frame is elegant, with a black piano that improves the overall sense of perceived quality.
Ford Puma, the space
The dimensions compact cars require some compromises in terms of rear habitability. Those who are taller than 1.90 m will find themselves cramped, with barely enough knee and headroom. The same goes for moving to the centre of the seat, although some sacrifices can be made for short distances.
The trunk is spacious, among the largest in the category. The Puma has a minimum capacity of 456 liters, which can reach 1,216 liters by folding down the rear row. The real gem is the Megaboxan additional 80-litre compartment in the double bottom that can be used to load objects up to 1.15 m high or to rinse animals or tools, as there is a drain plug.
Hooks and a 12V socket complete the trunk equipment.
