Ford Ranger PHEV : un pick-up hybride rechargeable

The range of the new Ford Ranger is enriched with the arrival of a plug-in hybrid petrol version, with a power of 279 horsepower.

A new plug-in hybrid engine in the catalog

Indeed, for intense professional use, the Ford Ranger PHEV offers similar performance to the diesel and petrol Rangers. This new plug-in hybrid version still has a payload of up to one tonne, and can tow up to 3.5 tonnes while going off-road, thanks to the e-4WD systemthe dual-range gearbox and the rear differential lock.

Ford Ranger PHEV: over 45 km of 100% electric range

The 2.3 PHEV plug-in hybrid powertrain combines a 2.3-litre Ford EcoBoost petrol engine with a 75 kW (102 hp) electric motor, all mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The combination produces a total output of 279 horsepower and 690 Nm of torquemaking this PHEV version more powerful than a Ranger with the 3.0-litre turbo diesel V6.
The battery with a capacity of 11,8 kWh useful can be recharged in less than 4 hours, thanks to a 16 amp single-phase charger, and offers a autonomy in 100% electric mode exceeding 45 km. Four hybrid driving modes are available: Auto EV, EV Now, EV Later or EV Charge, and the suspension tuning has been revised, for greater comfort and off-road performance.
For the launch, Ford will offer a Stormtrak Limited Serieswhich features 18-inch alloy wheels, a honeycomb grille, air vents and a specific decoration kit, Matrix LED headlights, a Flexible Rack modular storage system, Pro Trailer Backup Assist and a 360° camera as standard. Inside, there is a B&O audio system with 10 speakers and exclusive materials. This special series can be chosen with the exclusive “Chill Grey” paint finish, as well as in Agate Black.

The Ford Ranger PHEV also features the system Pro Power Onboardwhich can power electrical devices up to 2,300 W of power. Optionally, two 3,450 W sockets can deliver a total power of 6,900 Wand to power tools and equipment requiring high electrical consumption.
