Foreign exchange increase in car prices… Here are the cheapest new cars

Due to the volatility in exchange rates, car prices have increased. While some brands have not announced prices for 2 days because they could not decide how much to increase, some have offered vehicles for sale with new prices as of September 1.

Prices have started to fluctuate in the new and second-hand car market. The volatility in exchange rates has been reflected in car prices. Brands have increased the prices of new and second-hand cars.

The regulatory decisions for the new and second-hand automobile market, which have been ongoing in Turkey since last year, continue. While both the measures taken and the realities in the real market push citizens to save, it is seen that the old popular days in automobile sales are far away. Although sales have decreased due to citizens turning to saving, an upward trend in prices has begun to emerge.

DEALERS ARE LOOKING FOR CUSTOMERS

Stockpiling, price fixing, putting customers in line, openly paying to get ahead of the line, forcing accessories, etc., practices that were once considered normal but outside of trade, have come to an end. Dealers have now started calling customers to ask about vehicle sales campaigns and customers’ requests to buy vehicles.

GALLERIES ARE DIVIDED AMONG THEMSELVES

In the second-hand market, some dealers say that things are going very well, while others say that things are not moving. Although some dealers say that they sell at least 2 vehicles a day and that there are lines at the notaries for vehicle sales, the calmness on the dealer sites does not go unnoticed.

THE CHEAPEST CAR HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED

When we look at which car is the cheapest, the Fiat Egea is at the top of the list. The Opel Corsa is in second place, and the Suzuki Swift is in third place. (The ranking may change as some brands do not disclose their prices.)

Even if someone who buys a car keeps it parked without starting it, they still have fixed expenses. Even the lowest cost car has an expense of around 50 thousand liras, including Motor Vehicle Tax, compulsory traffic insurance, optional insurance, inspection, annual periodic maintenance. However, under today’s deposit interest conditions, when 1 million liras is tied to interest for a month, the return is around 50 thousand liras. In other words, someone who does not need a car can invest their money in investment vehicles and get more returns.

THE CAR IS NO LONGER AN INVESTMENT TOOL

The balancing of prices and the fluctuation of supply and demand have made the automobile no longer an investment vehicle. Those who buy brand new cars and keep them in the garage continue to lose money every day because they cannot sell them.

BE CAREFUL WHEN BUYING A NEW CAR

When buying a new car, do not ignore checking it just because it is new. There can be mistakes in new cars, check it and take delivery. Since there are paint measuring devices in dealerships, you can check the paint and visually inspect the screw-nut joints of the parts for play.

When negotiating the price of the vehicle, do not forget to ask for accessories, even if they are small, as they will give the accessory because they have difficulty in selling it.

MAKE SURE TO BARGAIN, THEY WILL DROP THE PRICE

Don’t forget to bargain even if it’s zero. Although dealers don’t make huge profits from sales, they will make huge profits in the future because they will provide authorized service. For example, if you were to buy the same products for a simple oil change periodic maintenance and have it done yourself, you would pay around 2 thousand liras, while the authorized service may charge you 5-6 thousand liras. Of course, the maintenance done at the authorized service provides coverage for any negativities that may occur during the warranty period of the vehicle, this advantage should not be forgotten. (This amount is an example, it should not be compared to the maintenance of ultra-luxury, supersport cars)
