Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna arrived from a visit to South America. This region is still in many ways a dark land from the point of view of Estonian exports, business ties are small. We are investigating what the potential of this rapidly growing region could be and what opportunities the minister sees there for our entrepreneurs.

However, the Minister of Economy and Industry, Erkki Keldo, recently arrived from Saudi Arabia. Let’s ask him about the opportunities for Estonian entrepreneurs in this region. At the same time, we will also discuss the topic with which countries it is currently undesirable for Estonia to cooperate.

With SEB private banking strategist Sander Danil, we discuss the issues of the US economy and analyze the first reactions in the markets following Trump’s election victory.

We will talk with Lauri Maaring, the manager of Pakendikkeskus, about whether the marketing strategy of Pakendikkeskus, based on topical humor that has brought success so far, will continue to be successful and how important emotion is in sales to business customers.

The presenter is Hando Sinisalu, the news is edited by Kristjan Kurg.

The program day continues with four programs:

10.00-11.00 “Content Marketing Series: My Career”. In the show, we talk about sustainability and its connection with career opportunities in banking. Tatjana Vakulenko, Head of Sustainability at SEB, and Anna-Liisa Villmann, Head of Communications at SEB Baltikum, are in the studio. In addition, we discuss what exactly ESG means and explore what knowledge and skills are needed to be successful in this field. The show is hosted by Sigrid Hiis.

11.00-12.00 “Hot seat”. Deputy Mayor of Tallinn, Madle Lippus, will be visiting the show. With him, we talk about urban space, plans, as well as the city budget. Siim Sultson asks.

13.00-14.00 “Business and technology”. In the show, we talk about the competitiveness of Estonia and Europe, the opportunities hidden in digitalization, and also the importance of IT management in the development of companies.

In the studio are Doris Põld, CEO of the Information Technology and Telecommunications Union, or ITL, and Sandra Särav-Tammus, Undersecretary for Economy and Innovation of the Ministry of Economy. The show is hosted by Indrek Kald, head of ITuudised.ee.

15.00–16.00 “Lavajutud”. In the program, you will first hear Minister of Finance Jürgen Lig talking about what Trump’s America could turn out to be and what, in his opinion, Estonia’s economic growth depends on. The recent presentation of the Minister of Finance comes from the recognition event for the most successful companies in the counties, which took place in Türi. The conversation will be moderated by Aivar Hundimägi, deputy editor-in-chief of Äripäiv.

In the second half of the show, you will hear Guido Pärnitsa, the head of the Ülemiste Center, talk about the importance of foreign labor, working in a home office and the economic future.
