On Friday, we will see the presentation of several novelties from Xiaomi, namely the new Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and the first generation clamshell from Xiaomi. The Mix Flip looks absolutely great in the first pictures and much more modern than the recently introduced one Samsung Galaxy Flip 6.
Xiaomi Flip – Secondary display
Unlike rival Samsung, the Xiaomi Flip will have an outdoor display that covers the entire back of the device and the cameras are located in a cutout. This gives the phone a much more futuristic feel.
The display itself should measure 4.01 inches, making it quite a bit larger than the 3.4-inch secondary display on the Flip 6 from Samsung. The main display should have a size of 6.9 inches and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. We don’t know about the screen resolution yet, but we can say with certainty that it will have a resolution of at least FullHD+.

Decent cameras with a capable telephoto lens
Clamshell from Xiaomi it will have a total of 3 cameras, namely a 50 Mpx main sensor, a 60 Mpx telephoto lens and a 32 Mpx selfie camera. Other sensor specifications are not known, but they are likely to be better cameras than rival Samsung. It only recently had a 12MP camera.
Xiaomi decided to take the rather unusual step of not using an ultra-wide camera, but to use a high-resolution telephoto lens instead. In theory, we can expect a clamshell with the best zoom on the market. The battery capacity should be quite decent, namely 4,780 mAh. In terms of performance, we will see Qualcomm’s flagship processor, i.e. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, as informs web TechRadar.
Performance and availability
The official presentation will take place on July 19. This will only be for the Chinese market, but it is speculated that the Xiaomi Flip will also target other markets outside of China. The large Mix Fold 4 puzzle will most likely not be seen outside of China.
