Forget the Switch 2. Nintendo’s newly introduced hardware is the Alarmo

Rumors about Nintendo working on a new device have been circulating on the Internet for a long time. And while it may (or may not) be related, the company has introduced its new hardware – the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo. Of course, this is not just any alarm clock, but a smart interactive device closely connected to the entire Nintendo universe.

Snooze the alarm with movement and get up accompanied by a triumphant fanfare

Alarmo is an alarm clock equipped with motion sensors that can delay the alarm based on your movement. Old-timers can snooze the alarm via physical buttons, but why bother when the alarm snoozes itself. Sleepwalkers have a choice between two modes. Gentle mode will keep the sounds at a consistent level, while setting the second mode will make the awakening more intense the longer you stay in bed.

However, the alarm clock can also be used in the opposite case, when it can accompany your departure to the realm of dreams with pleasant sounds and record your movements during sleep. Alarmo will offer a total of 35 scenes inspired by Nintendo’s most famous video game titles, such as Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 3, Pikmin 4 or Ring Fit Adventure. In the future, Nintendo promises more scenes from other games will come as part of free updates.

The smart alarm clock Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo will appear on the market from the beginning of next year 2025 at a price of 100 dollars. Nintendo Switch Online subscribers living in the US and Canada can pre-order it now.
