A McLaren Elva, a Ferrari LaFerrari, a Ferrari 812 Superfast and a Bentley Continental GTC collided on a mountain road in Austria. The value of the four cars easily covers the annual budget of a small town.
Looking at the photo taken on the spot, the cars took part in a joint tour and a problem occurred in one of the sharp turns:
the four supercars collided; it is not yet known what caused the accident.
A From the McLaren Principle only 399 units were made. With its carbon fiber body without roof and windows, the car weighs only 1,269 kilograms. Its 4.0-liter V8 turbo engine delivers 815 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds and reaches 200 km/h in 6.7 seconds. The price of Elva is approximately 1.8 million dollars, converted to HUF 700 million.
But the Ferrai LaFerrari is an even more attractive item, because the Italian sports car equipped with a 6.3-liter V12 (and an electric) engine, with nearly 1,000 horsepower, usually changes hands for roughly HUF 1.5 billion.
Compared to these, the Ferrari 812 Superfast is “only” around HUF 180 million. The 6.5 liter V12 engine in the nose of the car has 800 horsepower and accelerates the two-seater coupe to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds. Its top speed is 340 km/h.
The Bentley Continental GTC (GT Convertible) can be ordered with the 4.0 V8 turbo engine or the supercharged 6.0 liter W12 engine. The former has 550, the latter 660 horsepower, the top speed is 319 and 335 km/h, respectively. The mass of the 4.85-meter giant convertible is 2.3 tons. The price largely depends on how unique or limited it was, because recently a really extravagant version was decorated with 24-carat gold and diamond inlays. The price of a basic GTC is somewhere around HUF 115 million.
The owner of the four cars may not have wanted such a group photo at the end of the tour…
