It has been reported that the French Football Federation (FFF) will take the racist remarks of Argentine National Team players towards French football players to FIFA.
Argentine national football player Enzo Fernandez shared the moments they celebrated their success after beating Colombia 1-0 in the final match of the 2024 Copa America held in Miami, USA, in a live broadcast he started on his social media account.
The moment when Argentine football players sang some lines of a song containing racist remarks against African-origin players on the French National Team during the live broadcast in question became a hot topic.
According to reports in the French press, the FFF decided to take the incident to FIFA.
The same song, which included racist phrases such as “Listen, they play in France but they all come from Angola, they will run well” and “Their mothers are Nigerian, their fathers are Cameroonian but their passports say France”, was sung by Argentine fans after the final in which they defeated France to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
