Ovarian cancer is still an underestimated disease. This makes up-to-date information and the exchange with others all the more important. This is exactly what the Health Academy offers – a free information event in Hamburg on July 30th. Places are limited, so register quickly!

The free information event on July 30, 2024 gives those affected, their relatives and interested parties the opportunity to learn about ovarian cancer and exchange ideas with others. In a relaxed atmosphere, experts provide up-to-date information and tips about the disease.
The event is organized by the Funke Media Group together with MSD Sharp & Dohme and AstraZeneca.
The venue is the EAT CLUB in Hamburg, Großer Burstah 18-32, 20457 Hamburg

Running of the event
The event in the EAT Club will proceed as follows:

Meet & Greet (5:00 p.m.-5:20 p.m.): relaxed arrival and getting to know each other including finger food

greeting (5:20-5:30 p.m.): Take your seats and introductory presentation

Expert lectures (5:30-6:30 p.m.): Lectures by Prof. Dr. Barbara Schmalfeldt and Ms. Andrea Krull, with panel discussion and question and answer session

Conclusion (6:30 p.m.-7 p.m.): Get together with drinks and the opportunity to engage in direct dialogue with the experts and exchange ideas with other participants
Participating experts
Prof. Dr. Barbara Schmalfeldt is a respected expert in the field of gynecology. She holds the position of deputy medical director, is clinic director and heads the gynecological cancer center at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf.
Andrea Krullwho herself successfully overcame ovarian cancer, founded the association “Ovarian Cancer Germany eV”. Today, she is actively involved in raising awareness about the disease and supports both those affected and their families.
