French cheese discovered to have healing properties

Scientists have found substances in Camembert that improve memory

The discovery was made during an experiment on mice.

Consuming Camembert promotes neuronal growth and improves cognitive abilities. Scientists came to these conclusions in a new study involving mice. The details of the experiment were presented by endocrinologist Zukhra Pavlova.

According to her, it turned out that during fermentation with white mold in this cheese, special substances are released, including myristamide, which improves brain health by supporting the growth and restoration of memory of brain cells.

During the experiment, mice were first put on a high-fat diet to reduce cognitive abilities, and then some of them were added to the diet with Camembert. It was subsequently found that rodents that ate cheese had better functioning memory departments responsible for recognition and spatial orientation.

Commenting on the scientists’ findings, Pavlova stated that cheese contains a lot of both useful and not so useful substances. She called it “quite a complex product” and urged people to remember to consume it in moderation.

Earlier, nutritionist Alexandra Razarenova warned Russians about the dangers of processed cheese.
