French company Stif to supply several thousand parts to Tesla

This is an emblematic market for Stif. The industrial sheet metalworks of Saint-Georges-sur-Loire (Maine-et-Loire) will supply Tesla this year with several thousand explosion-proof panels to secure the energy storage systems of the Californian industrialist.

This €10 million contract marks Stif’s first steps into this new market. The company, which raised €10.3 million on the stock market at the end of 2023, is also consolidating its international reach. Already generating 75% of its business from exports in 80 countries, Stif, which generated €33.5 million in turnover in 2023, is aiming for €80 million in 2027, 90% of which will be outside France.

With Bess batteries, it is mainly targeting the American and Chinese markets where it already has production sites. With 190 employees, Stif was initially a manufacturer of handling components that diversified into explosion protection. Expertise extended to electrical storage, which is booming thanks to renewable energies.
