Based on polls among confident voters
- Georgia voters 48%-47% for Donald Trump,
- North Carolina voters would choose Kamala Harris 48-47% president if the election were held today.
It can be seen that the two presidential candidates are practically head to head in the two swing states.
North Carolina supported the Democratic candidate Barack Obama in 2008, and in the following three elections, they went Republican, with very slight majorities. Georgia has been won by a Republican every time since 1992, except for 2020, when Joe Biden beat Donald Trump by just under 1%.
Both swing states are very important for the current presidential election: Both Georgia and North Carolina can delegate 16 electors each out of 538, 270 electoral votes are needed to make someone president.
