AVM is preparing the launch of the FRITZ!Repeater 2400 W7, one of its most important new generation products that aspires to become one of the best Wi-Fi repeaters of the market. This model maintains the design of the FRITZ!Repeater 2400, but is much faster and supports the new Wi-Fi 7 standard, which represents a notable advance compared to Wi-Fi 6.
The FRITZ!Repeater 2400 W7 will work like a traditional repeaterwhich means that we will only have to connect it to a socket, link it to the router and that’s it, it will be ready to start repeating its signal. With it we can extend the range of our wireless connection effortlessly, safely and also enjoying all the advantages offered by the Wi-Fi 7 standard.

AVM has confirmed that it is still the design has not been finalized of the FRITZ!Repeater 2400 W7, so the case could end up receiving more or less marked changes. As it is a top-of-the-range product, and seeing the great leap it represents compared to the current generation, I think the most appropriate thing would be to introduce some details in the chassis that show the consumer that “difference” compared to previous models.
An exact release date has not yet been confirmed, but we know that the FRITZ!Repeater 2400 W7 could arrive in mid-2025. It is a reasonable date considering that routers and devices compatible with Wi-Fi 7 still represent a minority, and that the adoption rate of this technology still has a lot of room for growth ahead.
