The cost of parking was reduced to 0 rubles, that is, test participants could leave their car in a paid parking lot and not spend money. Therefore, from November 1, the pilot project of the innovative tariff will work for all motorists who will park on the streets: Ilyinka, Novaya Ploshchad, Tverskaya Zastava Square, Nikitsky Lane and Rozhdestvensky Boulevard.
The cost of parking within the pilot project for these five streets will start from 0 rubles with a minimum occupancy of parking spaces and vary depending on the congestion of the site. If there are practically no free spaces left in the parking lot, then the maximum cost will be 800 rubles per hour. Such conditions will apply during the pilot project; based on its results, the mechanics will be refined based on feedback from drivers.
A dynamic tariff will give motorists the opportunity to think through their route in advance, taking into account the predicted cost of parking. Drivers will be able to see where and at what time of day parking will be freer and cheaper in the area they need – this will have a positive impact on the balance of the congestion of parking spaces.
